Tip Tuesday -Stablizers

Time once again for another Sewing Tip of the Week. Again we are trying to keep things fairly short and easy to help you with your sewing projects. If you are sewing with knits and want to add lettering to them, make sure that you either use a stablizer such as pellon behind the fabric or sew it against another fabric to keep the knit from stretching and/or rippling. It will also make it easier to attach the letters or whatever you are putting on the fabric. Iron-on letters are also a good option, but you need to be careful because of the heat. The best thing to do is to use an ironing cloth, such as a teflon one to prevent melting your fabric.CS Logo
