Recipe – Crockpot Chicken and Dumplings

crockpot-chicken-and-dumplingsA yummy dish to put to cook as you start your day. When you get ready at the end of a busy day you will have a warm, delicious meal waiting for you to enjoy.



4 boneless skinless chicken breast

1 can chicken broth

2 cans cream of chicken soup

Sliced carrots

Sliced celery

1/2 can peas or use frozen peas for more nutrition

1/2 onion (diced)

Crumbled bacon

Parsley flakes

Garlic powder

Salt and pepper

1 can flaky biscuits


Place chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot

Pour chicken broth and both cream of chicken soup over it

Add in carrots, celery and diced onion. How much ever you prefer

Add in garlic powder, salt and pepper and parsley flakes over it, how much ever you prefer

Slow cook on low until all ingredients are tender and the chicken is done (6-8 hours)

Put the biscuits on top the last hour and turn the temperature to high. If you prefer you can just bake the biscuits in the oven according to the directions.
